| Аннотацiя: | The purpose of the handbook is to provide students with a thorough understanding of core concepts and methods of economics as the basis for the subsequent study of economic topics within the degree curriculum. Once being equipped with the necessary knowledge they will be able to expand them beyond the scope of this book.
The concept of the handbook provides a throughout analysis of the main principles, problems and notions of economic theory and its evolution; covers fundamentals of microeconomics and macroeconomics, world economy and international economics. The theoretical material is illustrated by the graphs, figures and tables. Economic models and problems are expressed in standard mathematical terms.
The authors have chosen to employ inductive, problem-solving techniques for the test-taking: objective (multiple-choice) after each topic, which will give the opportunity to practice the acquired knowledge.
The glossary of the basic terms and notions of economic theory is introduced in the handbook.
It is hoped that the approach incorporated in this handbook will serve to alleviate many difficulties encountered by students in their study of economic theory and by instructors in their efforts to teach them.
